1.What is Tire-HQ?
Tire-HQ is an Internet based system that has been designed especially for you, our direct Customer.
Tire-HQ is connected to back-end systems at Goodyear, enabling:
  • tire and advertising product availability
  • product catalog
  • product information
  • on-line ordering
  • statements and remittance processing
  • marketing information
  • order status reports
  • delivery notes
  • contact lists
  • national account processing
  • invoices

2.What type of hardware do I need to use Tire-HQ for optimal usage?

Equipment:
Processor:Intel Pentium 400Mhz or better
Memory:128 Mb or better
Hard Drive:Need at least 60 Mb free space available or better
Monitor:17" or better
Supported Resolution:1024x768 resolution
Printer:Any windows supported printer, excluding dot matrix.

    3.Which Customers have access to Tire-HQ?
    Currently, over 8,000 Customers have access to Tire-HQ. Tire-HQ customers are able to order all br /ands which they are authorized to sell, including Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly. You will also receive all of your invoices and consolidated statement updates using Tire-HQ.

    4.What type of training will be available for customers?
    Tire-HQ provides tutorial training in the form of simple step-by-step "viewlets", making the various functions easy to master. Additionally, Customers can talk to our experts at the Tire-HQ help desk with specific questions,
    1-800-331-4541, option 5, then option 3.

    5.What is the cost for Customers to use Tire-HQ?
    Tire-HQ, your Business-to-Business (B2B) Website, is a FREE and secured site. Your only commitments are to have a personal computer (PC) that meets the requirements specified on the enrollment form, and the cost of an Internet Service Provider.

    6.Can Customers use any Internet Service Provider?
    Yes. Customers can choose any Internet Service Provider. We have found that Customers using a hi-speed connection to the Internet are much more satisfied than Customers using traditional dial-up connections. Customers should consider cable, DSL, or other hi-speed Internet connections – especially if they expect to use Tire-HQ extensively.

    7.Does Tire-HQ offer different levels of access to different people within the Dealership?
    Yes. Each Customer must choose a system administrator who will control security profiles and passwords. Customers can choose who has access, and to what information they have access. Therefore, sensitive information can be protected, while allowing employees access to the information they need.

    8.When information is published in Tire-HQ (marketing programs, product letters, etc.) does everyone see the same information?
    No. Goodyear associates DO see all documents that are published. However, Customers see only the documents that apply to them. Tire-HQ enables content publishers to publish content based on sales region, br /and authorization, and a variety of customer attributes. As an example, if marketing program or a product letter is published on a Star br /and product, only Customers with an authorized br /and discount on the Star br /and would see the information.
